In 2020 a random photo of the Tankwa Karoo, deacades of putting together events and a passion for ultra-running and nature came all came together and sparked into life Umoya Adventures.

Umoya Adventures hosts small and exclusive bespoke trail runs, some epic and hardcore endurance events as well as creating customized, individual adventures and expeditions.

Tankwa Crossing

Tankwa Crossing is an unique desert running festival. It is unlike anything else in South African, really in the world.

You are spoiled for choice and can opt to run either a half-marathon, a marathon, a 107km race, 100 miler, 207km crossing the Tankwa or a 200 miler.
 

The next Tankwa Crossing is the Dark edition and takes place from 16 - 19 February 2023

Absolute food for the soul. Umoya Adventures paid careful attention to detail. The weekend was and absolute treat and privilege.

Was out of this world. Without a doubt a bucket list run. We'll be back next year!
